مناقشات بين الشركات السعودية والأوروبية الرائدة حول فرص التعاون في الأعمال المستدامة

اجتمعت اليوم الشركات الرائدة من الاتحاد الأوروبي والمملكة العربية السعودية في الرياض من أجل مشاورات الطاولة المستديرة بين الاتحاد الأوروبي والمملكة العربية السعودية حول التعاون في مجال الأعمال المستدامة، والذي يُعد اجتماعاً رفيع المستوى مُخصص لتعزيز التعاون العملي بين القطاع الخاص الأوروبي والسعودي المختص بالقطاعات المرتكزة على الاستدامة.

عُقدت المشاورات بمناسبة زيارة سعادة السيدة دوبرافكا شويتسا، مفوض الاتحاد الأوروبي المسؤولة عن علاقات الاتحاد مع منطقة المتوسط والخليج، وتحت رعاية مندوبية الاتحاد الأوروبي لدى المملكة العربية السعودية، بتنظيم من مشروع التعاون بين الاتحاد الأوروبي ومجلس التعاون الخليجي حول التحول الأخضر، وبالتعاون مع غرفة التجارة الأوروبية بالمملكة.

ضم الاجتماع كبار ممثلي الشركات الرائدة والعاملة في مجال الاقتصاد الدائري وتقنيات المياه والطاقة النظيفة والتصنيع المستدام والابتكار البيئي والمواد المتقدمة. استعرض المشاركون فرص الاستثمار المشترك ونشر التقنيات والتعاون الإقليمي، مشددين على الالتزام المشترك بدعم الشركات في الاتحاد الأوروبي والمملكة للعمل سوياً على المبادرات المستدامة في المنطقة.

عكست المناقشات التوافق القوي بين رؤية المملكة 2030 والاتفاق الأخضر للاتحاد الأوروبي مع الإقرار بدور القطاع الخاص كمحرك للنمو المستدام طويل الأجل. كما تم تحديد اتفاق الشراكة الاستراتيجية القادم بين الاتحاد والمملكة، والذي يُتوقع أن يُعزز التعاون في مجالات التقنيات النظيفة والابتكار الصناعي وسلاسل القيمة المستدامة الناشئة، كمعلم رئيسي من شأنه تعميق العلاقات الاقتصادية والاستراتيجية.

كما شددت المفوضة شويتسا على أهمية ميثاق المتوسط، والذي أُطلق في برشلونة بتاريخ 28 نوفمبر 2025، ونوهت إلى أنه يفتح المزيد من المجالات أمام الشركات من الاتحاد الأوروبي والمملكة لتوسيع التعاون عبر منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا الأوسع.

وصرحت سعادة السيدة دوبرافكا شويتسا، مفوض الاتحاد الأوروبي لمنطقة المتوسط بقولها “أكدت مشاورات اليوم على التزامنا المشترك بتسريع التحول الأخضر عبر الشراكات الهادفة بين الشركات الأوروبية والسعودية، والتي تجمع بين منطقتينا وتقرب بين شعوبنا. يلتزم الاتحاد الأوروبي والمملكة برفع مستوى شراكتنا. بموجب اتفاق الشراكة الاستراتيجية بين الاتحاد الأوروبي والمملكة وميثاق المتوسط، سيكون لدينا إطار عمل إقليمي أوسع لتوسيع التعاون بين الشركات الأوروبية والسعودية في الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا. وقد تشجعت بالالتزام القوي الذي رأيته اليوم”.

كما أضاف سعادة السيد كريستوف فارنو، سفير الاتحاد الأوروبي لدى المملكة العربية السعودية والبحرين وعُمان، قائلاً: “ترسم المملكة العربية السعودية وأوروبا مساراً جديداً في التعاون الدولي في مجال التنمية المستدامة. وعبر جمع الشركات الرائدة من كلا الجانبين، نهدف إلى تحويل الحوار الاستراتيجي إلى فرص ملموسة تدعم الابتكار والتنويع والنمو المستدام طويل الأجل.”

ومن جانبه صرح السيد ماركو أرتشيلي، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة أكوا باور بأن “تعاوننا مع الشركاء الأوروبيين يظهر ما يمكن تحقيقه عندما يلتقي الطموح مع الاستثمار والخبرات التقنية. كما يمكن لرؤية المملكة حول الطاقة النظيفة، والتي تدعمها الموارد المتجددة الوفيرة عالمية المستوى، أن تقدم لأوروبا الجزيئات الخضراء والكهرباء المستدامة والموثوقة ذات التكلفة التنافسية. وبالاقتران مع القوة الصناعية الأوروبية، يمكنها تقديم منصة هائلة للتقدم المشترك في مجالات الهيدروجين والطاقة المتجددة وحلول المياه.”

Leading Saudi and European companies discuss opportunities for sustainable business cooperation

Leading companies from the European Union and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia convened today in Riyadh for the EU–KSA Roundtable Consultation on Sustainable Business Cooperation, a high-level meeting dedicated to advancing practical collaboration between European and Saudi private sector engaged in sustainability-focused sectors.

The consultation took place on the occasion of the visit of H.E. Ms. Dubravka Šuica, European Commissioner in charge of EU relations with Mediterranean and the Gulf, held under the auspices of the Delegation of the European Union to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and organised by the EU–GCC Cooperation on Green Transition Project in collaboration with the European Chamber of Commerce in Saudi Arabia (ECCKSA).

The meeting brought together senior representatives from leading companies active in circular economy, water technologies, clean energy, sustainable manufacturing, environmental innovation, and advanced materials. Participants explored opportunities for joint investment, technology deployment, and regional cooperation, underscoring a shared commitment to support EU and Saudi businesses in working together on sustainable initiatives across the region.

The discussion reflected the strong alignment between Saudi Vision 2030 and the EU’s Green Deal, recognising the private sector as the engine of long-term sustainable growth. The forthcoming EU–Saudi Arabia Strategic Partnership Agreement—expected to reinforce cooperation on clean technologies, industrial innovation, and emerging sustainable value chains—was identified as a major milestone that will deepen economic and strategic ties.

Commissioner Šuica also highlighted the relevance of the Pact for the Mediterranean, launched in Barcelona on 28 November 2025, noting that it opens additional avenues for EU and Saudi companies to expand collaboration across the wider Middle East and North Africa region.

Ms. Dubravka Šuica, European Commissioner for the Mediterranean, stated “Today’s consultation reaffirms our shared commitment to accelerating the green transition through meaningful partnerships between EU and Saudi companies, connecting our regions and bringing our peoples closer. The EU and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are committed to stepping up our partnership. Under the EU–Saudi Arabia Strategic Partnership Agreement and the Pact for the Mediterranean, we will have a broader regional framework to expand cooperation between EU and Saudi companies across the Middle East and North Africa. I am encouraged by the strong engagement we have seen today.”

H.E. Christophe Farnaud, Ambassador of the European Union to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Oman, added “Saudi Arabia and Europe are charting a new path for global cooperation in sustainable development. By bringing together leading companies from both sides, we aim to transform strategic dialogue into tangible opportunities that support innovation, diversification, and long-term sustainable growth.”

Saudi Arabia and Europe are together setting an important precedent for global cooperation in the sustainable transition, with today’s consultation helping identify actionable pathways for partnership, innovation, and long-term value creation.
