نجاح كبير للنسخة الخامسة من ليلة اللغات الأوروبية في الرياض

استضافت مندوبية الاتحاد الأوروبي لدى المملكة العربية السعودية بنجاح النسخة الخامسة من ليلة اللغات الأوروبية، وهي احتفالية القارة الأوروبية بتنوعها اللغوي والثقافي. وبالتعاون مع نادي تبادل اللغات، وسفارات الدول الأعضاء في الاتحاد الأوروبي المتواجدة في الرياض ومعاهد اللغات والمعاهد الثقافية، واستقطبت الفعالية المفتوحة للجمهور أكثر من 250 سعودي ومقيم من عشاق اللغات والراغبين في تعلمها، مما يؤكد تزايد الاهتمام المحلي بالتبادل اللغوي والثقافي.
وشكلت الفعالية منصة لإظهار كيفية تقريب اللغات الناس من بعضهم البعض، مما يعزز التبادل الثقافي بين الشعوب ويسهل فهماً أكبر بين المجتمعات. وانغمس السعوديون والمقيمون الحاضرون في الفعالية في ثراء لغوي وثقافي أوروبي من خلال ممارسة مهاراتهم اللغوية مع دبلوماسيين أوروبيين ومدرسي لغات محترفين، بينما استمتعوا بالموسيقى الأوروبية وبرامج الفعالية الأخرى.
شملت الفعالية برنامجاً حيوياً ومتنوعاً تضمن فترتين مخصصتين لتبادل اللغات، حيث أتيحت للحضور فرص فريدة لممارسة اللغات وتحدثها وتعلم عبارات أساسية في 16 لغة وهي: البلغارية، الدنماركية، التشيكية، الإنكليزية، الفنلندية، الفرنسية، الألمانية، اليونانية، المجرية، الإيطالية، البرتغالية، الرومانية، الإسبانية، السويدية والأوكرانية، بالإضافة إلى اللغة العربية.
وعلق سعادة السفير كريستوف فارنو، سفير الاتحاد الأوروبي لدى المملكة العربية السعودية، على نجاح الفعالية قائلاً: “إن ليلة اللغات الأوروبية هي أكثر من مجرد احتفال بالتنوع الثقافي واللغوي؛ إنها جسر حيوي للتفاهم المتبادل والصداقة. إن مشاهدة حيوية المشاركين وفضولهم واضحة في وجوههم جميعاً في هذه الليلة، كما يؤكد ذلك على أن الروابط الثقافية عميقة ما بين الاتحاد الأوروبي والمملكة. هذا النجاح هو شهادة على التعاون القوي بين الدول الأعضاء في الاتحاد الأوروبي وجميع شركائنا المساهمين، ونحن ملتزمون بتعزيز هذه الروح من الحوار والتعلم مدى الحياة.”
تضمن برنامج الأمسية كلمة سعادة السفير، تبعتها مباشرة فترتان تفاعليتان مخصصتان للغة، حيث أتيحت للضيوف فرصة لممارسة مجموعة متنوعة من اللغات الأوروبية. كما تضمنت أبرز فعاليات الليلة وصلات موسيقية مميزة على آلة العود، ومسابقات لغوية ترفيهية، وعرض موسيقي تفاعلي ومُلفت قدمته الفرقة البرتغالية ألماناتا بأربع لغات أوروبية مختلفة.
وتقدمت مندوبية الاتحاد الأوروبي بخالص الشكر لشريكها الرئيسي في الفعالية، نادي تبادل اللغات، وتقدر كذلك الدعم القيم من جميع المؤسسات المساهمة في إنجاح الفعالية: أليانس فرانسيز، معهد غوته، إديوكيشن فيرست، مدرسة SEK الدولية في الرياض، أكاديمية “تعلّم العربية”، وHYPHEN.
قال محمد المعثم، مؤسس نادي تبادل اللغات: “العمل جنباً إلى جنب مع مندوبية الاتحاد الأوروبي للمرة الخامسة يغمرنا بفرحة كبيرة. نحن فخورون بمواصلة تنظيم هذه الفعاليات، التي تعزز الفهم الثقافي الأعمق وتقدير اللغات داخل مجتمعنا.”
تستوحي ليلة اللغات الأوروبية فعالياتها من اليوم الأوروبي للغات الذي يُحتفل به في 26 سبتمبر من كل عام، والذي تنظمه المفوضية الأوروبية ومجلس أوروبا، لتعزيز التنوع اللغوي ودعم التفاهم بين الثقافات والتشجيع على التعلم مدى الحياة.
Successful 5th European Night of Languages Concludes in Riyadh
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia – October 14, 2025: The European Union Delegation to Saudi Arabia successfully hosted the fifth edition of the European Night of Languages, a celebration of the continent’s linguistic and cultural diversity. In partnership with the Language Exchange Club, EU Member State Embassies and cultural institutes, the vibrant public event drew a crowd of over 250 Saudi language enthusiasts, underscoring the strong local appetite for linguistic and cultural exchange.
The event served as a platform to demonstrate how languages bring people closer together, strengthening people to people exchanges and facilitating greater understanding among cultures. Members of the Saudi society immersed into Europe’s linguistic and cultural richness by practicing their language skills with European diplomats and professional language teachers while enjoying European music with live performances.
The interactive evening served as a dynamic platform for engagement, providing attendees with unique opportunities to converse and learn basic phrases across 16 languages—including Bulgarian, Danish, Czech, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish, Swedish and Ukrainian as well as Arabic.
H.E. Christophe Farnaud, the EU Ambassador to the KSA, commented on the event’s success: “The European Night of Languages is more than just a celebration of cultural and linguistic diversity; it is a vital bridge of mutual understanding and friendship. Witnessing the energy and curiosity of all the participants tonight confirms the deep cultural ties between the EU and the Kingdom. This success is a testament to the powerful collaboration between the EU Member States, and all our contributing partners. We are committed to fostering this spirit of dialogue and lifelong learning.”
The evening’s programme commenced with the Ambassador’s address, leading directly into a dedicated interactive language session where guests were given a chance to practised a variety of European languages. Entertainment highlights of the night included an enchanting Oud recital, entertaining language quizzes and, and a dynamic performance by a Portuguese band, Almanata, in 4 different European languages.
The EU Delegation extends its sincere gratitude to its key partner, the Language Exchange Club, and acknowledges the invaluable support of all contributing institutions for making the event a success: Alliance Française, Goethe Institut, Education First, SEK International School Riyadh, Teach Me Arabic Academy, and HYPHEN.

The European Night of Languages is inspired by the annual European Day of Languages, celebrated on 26 September, which is jointly organised by the European Commission and the Council of Europe to promote linguistic diversity, reinforce intercultural understanding, and encourage lifelong language learning.
