المنتخب السعودي للفيزياء يمثّل المملكة أمام 87 دولة في أولمبياد الفيزياء الدولي بكولومبيا

تواصل المملكة العربية السعودية، ممثلة بمؤسسة الملك عبدالعزيز ورجاله لرعاية الموهوبين “موهبة” بالشراكة مع وزارة التعليم، مشاركتها الفاعلة في النسخة الـ56 من أولمبياد الفيزياء الدولي (IPhO 2026)، الذي تستضيفه مدينة بوكارامنغا بجمهورية كولومبيا خلال الفترة من 4 إلى 12 يوليو الجاري.
ويجمع الأولمبياد هذا العام 87 دولة و370 طالباً وطالبة من مختلف قارات العالم، حيث يمثّل كل دولة فريقٌ مكوّن من خمسة طلاب كحدٍّ أقصى يرافقهم مشرفون علميون، في واحدة من أعرق المسابقات العلمية للطلاب على مستوى العالم. ويضم الفريق السعودي خمسة طلاب يرافقهم ثلاثة مشرفين علميين. وتُعدّ هذه المشاركة الـ14 للمملكة منذ انطلاق مشاركتها في الأولمبياد عام 2011.
وقال أ. طلال الرشيدي، رئيس الفريق العلمي للمنتخب السعودي: “يشرّفنا التنافس مع أفضل العقول الشابة على المستوى العالمي. طلابنا يمثلون جيلاً واعداً يحمل تطلعات المملكة نحو التميز العلمي، وقد أظهروا تحضيراً متقناً استعداداً لهذا التحدي العالمي.”
وتجسد هذه المشاركة التزام المملكة بدعم المواهب العلمية وتطويرها في مجالات العلوم والتقنيات، بما يواكب رؤية المملكة 2030 في تعزيز الابتكار والبحث العلمي.
Saudi Physics Team Competes at 56th International Physics Olympiad in Colombia
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), in partnership with the Ministry of Education, continues its active participation in the 56th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO 2026), hosted in Bucaramanga, Colombia, from July 4-12.
This year’s olympiad brings together 87 countries and 370 students from across the globe, in one of the world’s most prestigious scientific competitions for secondary school students. The Saudi delegation comprises five students accompanied by three scientific supervisors. This marks the Kingdom’s 14th participation in the event since it first competed in 2011.
“We are honored to compete with the world’s brightest young minds at this prestigious olympiad,” said Dr. Talal Al-Rashidi, Head of the Saudi Scientific Team. “Our students represent a promising generation that carries the kingdom’s aspirations for scientific excellence. They have demonstrated exceptional preparation and dedication to this global competition.”
The kingdom’s participation reflects its commitment to supporting scientific talent development, particularly in science and technology fields, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030’s goals of fostering innovation and scientific research.
